The book for January is... The Shack by William P. Young The next book club meeting will be Jan 29th. We will discuss the current reading and select the next months reading. I have made it through the 1st 4 Chapters and I find the concept of the Shack & the characterisation of "Mac" to be interesting. I am curious where the story will go next.
This book is very interesting in my opinion. I am on Chapter 14 and I can't stop listening to what happens next. Donte'- Wait until you get to middle part of ch. 10 beginning of ch 11, that's when the plot climaxes. Happy reading!
Hey Kenneth, are you reading yet? I am on chapter 14 and already have decided when finished, I will listen again to make sure I get it. Donte', the character of Mac is interesting, but wait till you see all the other characters and how they are presented. Really makes you think!!
I have started Chapter 10 and I have to say that the character selection and presentation is unique. So far the book stands alone in my memory in regards to it's plot. The author still puts me into a relaxed state which has had me run back chapter 7 - 10 at least 3 times but I'm ok with that! lol I will keep you posted.
I am on the heels of Chapter 13 but think that I may run it back one more time. I will be finished by tomorrow and look forward to talking about the book and the Summer Project on the 29th!
